Boys Varsity Wrestling · Spartans Fly At Lindbergh Tournament


The Spartans traveled to Lindbergh High School in Renton, Washington for the first time and brought back some hardware.  Overall, five Hillsboro wrestlers placed led by 160 pound champion Nick Peterson.  Peterson went 4-0 with two pins and two major decisions including a 14-4 victory over Columbia River’s Atticus Kurtz in the championship match to claim an Undisputed Champion Ring.  Joining him in the finals was 126 pound Michael Ellis who went 3-0 before falling to Carson Tanner of Issaquah in the finals.  Other Hillsboro placers were 132 Josh Smith (3-2 4th place), 152 Adonai Peraza Nava (3-2 4th place), and 145 Ralphy Medina (2-3 6th place).  Hillsboro had two freshman place in a regular season tournament for the first time since 2016.  Hillsboro records for the tournament:
