Hillsboro travelled to Clackamas for their final regular season tune up before the post season begins.  The Spartans entered sixteen into the two day Bill Geister Tournament and came away with six medals.  Leading the way for Hillsboro were two gold medalists, 138 Cole Siemon and 160 Nick Peterson. Siemon went undefeated winning his matches 12-1, 7-0, 6-2, and 10-8 in the championship match over Giovanni Bravo of Woodburn.  Peterson matched the undefeated record with a win. By fall, 22-4 technical fall,  16-5, and 5-0 over Kieran McCalpin of Aloha in the championship match. 120 Damon Chavez pitched in with three wins of his own to finish in fourth place.  145 Jackson Godsey led the team in matches going 6-2 and finishing in 5th place. Fresh off the disabled list, 152 Scott Ellis went 4-2 to finish in 5th while 182 Chris Day took 6th place. Next stop for the Spartans is the district championship tournament at Scappoose.
